First period finished up the reading interviews, discussing in groups their reading habits. We’re on the way to creating our literacy memoir as we finish up Nightjohn.

Second and sixth periods had a bit of spelling practice for the -ance/-ence words we went over Friday. We finished up our point of view exercise and will be getting back to the book tomorrow.

Fourth period went over the cyclops and how the episode propels one of the major motifs — hospitality — of the epic.
