English 8 students worked on their major writing project for the quarter, which they will be completing this week. Today they collaborated on potential reasons to back up their chosen topics. We have a load of evidence already outlined, and tomorrow we’ll begin looking at what evidence matches which reasons.
English I students continued with the parts of speech review focusing on verbs today and active/passive voice before moving on to “Those Winter Sundays” as part of our poetry unit. We’re focusing on the poem’s use of connotations to create its deeper meaning.
