English I students worked on parsing long sentences in confusing texts as we began reading “The Cask of Amontillado”

We’ll be using this for the second story in our short story analytic writing unit.

English 8 students worked on the newly-initiated Friday inference work. We looked at a text and used context clues and reasoning to determine the main character’s job. We then wrote a paragraph arguing our case. We will be working on similar work every Friday until the end of the quarter.
