English I students worked on their second cycle of short stories and analytic paragraphs. Today we read “In the Family,” an odd story about a seemingly magic mirror that everyone seems just to expect without much surprise or concern.

English 8 students worked on No Red Ink. We’re finishing up a bit of work on participial phrases (in accordance with the district’s pacing guide). We also did some work to conclude “The Brave Little Toaster” before we begin our next story.

• English I Honors: complete the commentary for the paragraph about “In the Family” that we started today.
