English I students began their final unit, a literature-circle reading of Lord of the Flies. We began today by going over how lit circles work after working the finer details of allegories by looking at an animated version of Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave.”

English 8 students continued reading The Diary of Anne Frank. We went through most of 1.3, which is the longest scene in the play.
