Today we looked at a couple of famous passages in 1.5. The first is the torches passage:

There is a lot happening in that passage, including the introduction of the primary motif in the play: light and dark.

We also read Romeo and Juliet’s meeting:

It didn’t take long for students  to see all the religious imagery in the passage.
