We have less than two weeks remaining before the start of the school year. In a few days, all the teachers will begin making the daily trek to the school, holding meetings, preparing classrooms, meeting new faculty. It’s an exciting time of the year, and we’re all looking forward to meeting you, the students.

I am particularly excited about this year as I will return to teaching literature instead of writing. I love both, and I love teaching both, but it’s good to change things up occasionally. We’ll be reading lots of fantastic pieces this year, and English I students will get a heavy dose of writing as well. So enjoy those last few days of freedom!
