English 8 Strategies students took the unexpected day in class — come on, admit it: we were all expecting to be out today — and continued with the regularly-scheduled Friday writing day. As a reminder, students need to have the following completed:
- Tuesday 3 March: 2 first drafts complete
- Friday 6 March: 3 first drafts complete
- Tuesday 10 March: 3 first drafts complete and one of those turned into a revised second draft
Fourth period English I Honors students looked at MLK’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” as they continue looking at argument as they read To Kill a Mockingbird.
Sixth period English I Honors students had a chance to return to their groups from Wednesday and clear up any misunderstandings about verbals. We’ll be continuing the jigsaw activity later next week.
Creative writing students had a final day to work on their audio projects. These are now homework. We’ll settle on a due date next week.
