Since I’ve been out two days, and we’ve had the snow day (and more to come, it seems), today was a day to consolidate and catch up so that we don’t get too far behind.

English 8 Strategies students had a writing day since we missed our normal Tuesday session. I consulted with students while others continued working on our mini-project. The new dates for completion are as follows:

• Tuesday 3 March: 2 first drafts complete
• Friday 6 March: 3 first drafts complete
• Tuesday 10 March: 3 first drafts complete and one of those turned into a revised second draft

English I Honors continued with the Mockingbird and Lord of the Flies units.

Homework

• English I Honors: 
  • fourth period: you need to be through chapter 18 of To Kill a Mockingbird by whenever we return to school (tomorrow, Friday, or Monday)
  • sixth period:
    • evaluate the first Lord of the Flies workshop submissions here (by Friday, regardless of snow days);
    • complete the second Lord of the Flies workshop submission and turn in here (by Monday, regardless of snow days);
  • both periods: as per our discussion in class today, re-submit your Romeo and Juliet projects here (by Friday regardless of snow days)
