All periods worked on strategies for making a better score on the PASS Writing assessment that all eighth grade students will take next week. We reviewed all strategies we worked on this week, and then took a practice PASS test.

First and fourth periods had the following topic:

Walt Disney once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Write about a time when this was true for you or someone you know.

Second and seventh periods had the following topic:

You don’t have to spend money to have a good time. Write about when you had a great time without spending a lot of money.

We will finish the practice tests in class tomorrow.

  • Finish the drawing we started in class yesterday, which will be due Thursday.
  • Finish marking the text for “The Allegory of the Cave,” which will be due Thursday.
