All classes continued working on the Schaffer writing model today. First and fourth periods looked at the question of what in the setting of “The Sniper” is absolutely necessary for the conflict. We began planning a Schaffer paragraph on the topic.
Second and seventh periods worked on a second Schaffer paragraph. This time, I gave groups only a general idea for the topic, and students had to come up with the topic sentence, concrete details, and commentary themselves. The topic was to have something to do with having a positive/good/better year than last year.
