First and fifth periods spent the day working in groups, preparing for a debate on various district-provided choice scenarios presented to them.

Second and fourth periods worked on text-based questions dealing with Mr. Jaggers, the newest addition to the growing cast of Great Expectations.

Students used Schaffer techniques to plan two paragraphs that describe Jaggers’ character.

Homework

• First and fifth periods: complete the debate planning sheet begun in class. (Students who were absent will be assigned to groups and given flex time on Monday to prepare their debates.)
