English I students began the day with more work on parallel structure, a topic we’ve been covering mainly through No Red Ink practice.
worked on the prologue to Romeo and Juliet. We’ve marked it for a few things:
- Unknown words
- Pronouns and antecedents
- Actions of the “star-cross’d lovers”
- The consequence of the lovers’ actions (see above)

We’re working to incorporate more flow quotes into our writing and fewer dialogue quotes. To that end, we spent some time identifying and then properly punctuating some of them.
