During advisory, we had our first quidditch match.

English 8 students presented some of the work they’ve been doing on The Diary of Anne Frank since not everyone is completing the same work for the same scene. We also went over the coming test on the Anne Frank unit and the letter to next year’s students assignment, which will be the final major grade of middle school English for the students. (All dates are on the calendar above.)

English I students continued with Lord of the Flies. The first student groups will be presenting next Monday, with details for the other groups on the calendar (see above).

Homework

• English 8: 
  • prepare for the Letter to Next Year’s Students assignment as necessary;
  • work on Anne Frank lit circle as needed and determined by your group.
• English I Honors: 
  • prepare for the Letter to Next Year’s Students assignment as necessary;
  • continue reading Lord of the Flies as your group planned;
  • work on No Red Ink as needed.
