English 8 students had their first performances to demonstrate their close reading.

The first two groups did quite well, with both groups demonstrating close reading of the text and good interpretation of the emotions of characters.

We will finish up tomorrow with our final groups (two per class).

English I students began preparing their second writing assignment for Lord of the Flies. We’ll be exploring the concept of taboo in the novel and the role it plays as the boys try to re-create civilization.

Homework
