English I students ran their first lit circles today. Most groups had chosen to complete their first chapter of Lord of the Flies. Some groups read a little more. We’ll have our first writing assignment due in a little over a week.

English 8 students continued with 1.3 from The Diary of Anne Frank. We made it through the longest scene in the play, and students did a great job with the close reading.

Most students who acted did a great job of reading the stage instructions and making sure they and their peers perfect the scene as directed.
