English I students worked on the introduction of the Odyssey, plotting the opening lines against a diagram of Odysseus’s journies. We determined that several of the lines match up perfectly to his journey and that we can determine a good bit of the story just from those opening lines.
Here’s a closeup of the map:
English 8 students worked on “The Tell-Tale Heart” a bit more, finishing up yesterday’s analysis of selected passages from the story. We determined that the story uses irony in a very specific way: the more the narrator insists on his sanity, the more we doubt his mental health.
Homework
- English 8: work on “Tell-Tale Heart” vocab on Quizlet.
- English I Honors:

Thank you for the updates
