English I students finished up their analysis of the idea of analysis today.

We ended with a simple definition of analysis: the examination of the elements or structures of a piece of writing. We moved on to the first of several stories which we will be analyzing.

English 8 worked on retelling as well as completing their end-of-the-week debriefing.

  • finish reading “The Sniper”;
  • determine why you couldn’t change the setting of “The Sniper” without affecting plot;
  • see if you can figure out a way in which you could change the setting of “The Sniper” without affecting the plot that much;
