English 8 students had a Socratic Seminar about whether or not it’s a good idea for people like Harriet Tubman, who had escaped slavery, to risk it all to go back to help others. We had a variety of opinions and a number of good points.

English I Honors students continued with their close reading of the trial of Tom Robinson. We’ll be finishing up tomorrow with Tom’s testimony.

• English 8: begin working on the combined vocabulary reivew.
