English 8 students continued finished up chapter one of Nightjohn by looking at voice. We’ll be pulling everything together tomorrow.

English I Honors students began looking at Poe’s “A Cask of Amontillado” as the primary document for their next analytic piece. We’re using it to start learning also how to approach incredibly difficult texts.

Journalism students, who until now have probably thought it was a fairly easy class, started the heavy lifting of the course, looking at improving sentence variety with the use of introductory participial phrases.
