English Studies and Strategies students began learning strategies from Kylene Beers’s and Robert Probst’s Notice and Note. We started with one that’s fairly simple, “Again and Again.” We applied it to a passage from Hatchet.

English I Honors students began cutting scenes two, three, and five from Romeo and Juliet‘s third act. We’ll be making an argument for our cuts tomorrow and Friday checking our cuts against a professional film production to see how the writers cut the play for that performance.
