English 8 Strategies students began their first day of peer conferencing today, with fairly good results. We’ll finish up tomorrow and then begin working in earnest on the ACT-Aspire test when we return from the break.

Fourth period English I Honors students had some more time to work on their first writing assignment, and sixth period students began working on their second possible topic for the final project, this one on trusting the narrator of Mockingbird.

    • read chapters three and four of Lord of the Flies by the time we return from spring break;
    • turn in your Mockingbird project;
    • remember that your first Lord of the Flies writing assignment will be due just before midnight on the Monday we return.
  • sixth period students:
    • finish assessing your final Lord of the Flies writing assignment;
    • read chapters five through eight of To Kill a Mockingbird by the time we return from the break.
