English 8 Strategies students went over last Friday’s test and had some long-overdue binder control, reorganizing binders and for some, creating new binders. Students need the following four tabs in their binders:

1. Writing Focus
2. My Writing
3. Writing Craft
4. Grammar

English I Honors students looked at sound devices, focusing on alliteration, assonance, and consonance. We’ll be finishing up tomorrow with rhyme and a bit of rhythm/meter.

Creative writing students continued with existing projects.

  • listen to the two classes’ discussions of the poem and respond to the two short questions here;
  • be prepared to explain/discuss Dylan Thomas’s “Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night.”
