First and fourth periods completed the overview of the Schaffer model. We’ll begin tomrrow working to apply the model to literary analysis.

Second and seventh periods began working on the Schaffer model for body paragraphs. We used Frayer diagrams to take notes about the various parts of the Schaffer model.

During SSR we read an article about the Water is Life program and watched the accompanying video.

  • complete the benchmark test if you had issues with questions 25-27 and the required graphic;
  • download and read the informational text “How to Write about Literature;”
  • read the short story “The Sniper,” which is in the literature book and also is available here.
