First and fifth periods are nearing the end of the Anne Frank reading. We should be finishing up tomorrow or Monday. Today we went over scene three, a very emotional scene. We’ll be having a test on the unit next Wednesday. I will post details about it later today.

Second and fourth periods began the second of two culminating projects for the poetry unit: their sonnets. We worked today with the broad understanding and played some with iambic pentameter. Just enough to get them nervous. Just enough to get them thinking it’s going to be more difficult than they first imagined. Notes are below.
