First and sixth periods finished up Diary of Anne Frank, acting out the last three pages in class. We’ll do a few more days’ work with the play before moving on.
Second and fourth periods looked at the difficulty of creating a society like the boys in Lord of the Flies are attempting to do. We closed with an examination of how that society is already coming apart at the edges.
Seventh period completed their presentations.
Homework
- First and sixth period: free-write: are humans inherently good or evil?
- Second and fourth period:
- complete chapters six and seven;
- work on Lord of the Flies vocabulary (quiz on chapters 4-6 Tuesday 13 March);
- begin working on written response for chapter four in Lord of the Flies;
- review transitional devices as needed;
- continue working on Romeo and Juliet soundtrack project. This is due Tuesday 13 March, but I will give extra credit to anyone who turns it in before the long break (i.e., turns it in tomorrow).
