First and sixth periods worked on Nightjohn. We spent most the class reading to try to catch up with the planning I’ve laid out.

Second and fourth period began working on their third analytic essay. We’ll spend tomorrow planning and then Friday wrapping up the unit.

The Cask of Amontillado

Printed in Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of Mystery and Imagination, 1919.

Seventh period gave me a writing sample today: they worked on their writing histories to provide insight into their writing habits as well as a sample of their writing ability.

Homework
  • First, sixth, and seventh periods: none.
  • Second and fourth periods: write a rough draft based on today’s planning. (You’ll use this in your small groups tomorrow to complete the planning.)
