Reintroducing the Media Center

A fairly easy day today: all classes went to the library for a reorientation of the the materials and resources. Our media specialist went over the procedures and fines, as well as some of the digital media students can access.

After the orientation, students had a chance to check out books and leaf through magazines before heading back to class.

Homework
  • First, second, and sixth periods: none.
  • Fourth period: parts of speech test tomorrow Monday.

Library and Consultation

First, second, and seventh periods spent most of the class in the library. It was a fairly successful day: I was able to consult with individual students about their poetry projects.

Fourth period continued research. Some students might need to do additional research as homework.

  • Fourth period: read materials about transitions.

Today we had orientation in the media center. It also was a chance for students to check out books and relax while reading them.
