English 8 Strategies corrected yesterday’s quiz and took care of some administrative matters. Fourth period English I Honors began a jig saw activity about phrases, the unit that always accompanies the Lord of the Flies unit. Sixth period English I Honors students also did jig saw work today, but they are working on Jim Crow laws in preparation for To Kill a Mockingbird. Sixth period students are, of course, still finishing up their final writing assignment for Flies, which is due Monday.

    • assess your chapter 9/chapter 10 writing assignment by tomorrow night (Sixth period students might want to install this extension to help with their Lord of the Flies evaluations.     • complete your chapter 11/chapter 12 writing assignment by Monday.
