For the first time in some weeks, fourth and sixth periods — both English I Honors classes — are working on the same material, but fourth period is at the beginning of Lord of the Flies while sixth period is finishing it up. English 8 Strategies students had their usual Tuesday writing day.

• English I Honors: 
  • fourth period students:
    • turn in your Mockingbird rubric (download a blank one here);
    • re-read “The Allegory of the Cave.”
  • sixth period students:
    • assess peers’ work on the chapter 7/chapter 8 writing assignment by tomorrow night;
    • turn in your chapter 9/chapter 10 writing assignment by tomorrow night;
    • complete Lord of the Flies by class tomorrow.
